Kathy’s Korner—Impossible Triangle Wall-hanging (SEW SIMPLE Though):  Have you always wanted to learn how to foundation paper piece (FPP)?  Maybe you already know how to paper piece, and just want a refresher.  Well now is your chance.  This month, we will be making a 25-inch square paper pieced wall hanging of a “Penrose Triangle,” a design made popular by the artist M.C. Escher.  Though this design looks complicated, anyone with basic quilting knowledge should be able to successfully make it using the FPP method.  Do NOT be intimated by the name or the picture.  YOU can do it!  You will need at least ¼ yard of each of three fabrics, in dark, medium, and light, plus ¾ yard of background fabric.  If you are inexperienced at FPP, it is good to have a bit of extra fabric to start with.  This class will meet Wednesday July 10 and 17 at 10:30 am and/or Saturday July 13 and 20 at noon.  Taught by: Malena Howe and Kathy!

Basket Weaving for the Holidays—Christmas in July!

Since our first basket weaving class was such a success (class was filled before we had a chance to advertise it), we are offering another opportunity.  Come celebrate Christmas in July with us!  Our guest teacher, Lauren, will provide hands on instruction to create this beautiful basket.   The cost is $40 which includes all supplies.   It is a fun night out with friends and fellow crafters.   Call or stop into the store to sign up since class size is limited.   Starts at 5:00pm on Thursday, July 25th The basket you make may be slightly different from the one pictured.
